Update 09.03.2009: Due to a third party network failure our uplink port went into disabled state as a protective measure. As the network came back the uplink was not automatically restored. Due to that fact the outage experienced was longer than the actual uplink outage.

The SSH host keys have been regenerated on several hosts due to the recent Debian OpenSSL vulnerability. You may receive a warning from your SSH client that the host key has changed. This is expected behavior, you may need to remove the old key from your cache.
